The Hill’s yew has very dark green foliage which changes to a light green in spring. This plant benefits from an annual pruning to achieve a dense plant or hedge. Overall this is a low maintenance shrub, and one of the few evergreens that loves shade. Great for hedges and screening, and easy to prune. Under ideal conditions, the Hill’s yew can live up to 50 years or more. The Hill’s yew reaches heights of 20 ft when fully mature. For a hedge, plant at 2 ft centers.
