Winter Gem is considered one of the classic boxwoods. It can be kept to a 2-3 ft hedge or grown into a larger hedge. This shrub has rich green foliage, turning to a bronze colour in the fall. They are an excellent contrast to red brick homes, or houses with stone siding. Surrounding this plant with red-berried hollies also provides an excellent contrast, and makes your landscaping really pop. For a hedge, plant at 1 ft centers.
